Fredrick A. Schulman, Esq., is the managing partner of Schulman Blitz, LLP. He personally oversees all of the firm’s cases, ensuring that each case is litigated effectively and resolved for maximum value as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Mr. Schulman has over two decades of experience representing victims of all types of accidents and has a successful record of obtaining substantial awards and settlements for his clients. Throughout his career, Mr. Schulman has focused exclusively on the representation of victims of accidents in all types of negligence cases. Mr. Schulman has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for people who have been injured due to the negligence of others.
Mr. Schulman began his legal career at one of the country’s leading plaintiffs’ personal injury and medical malpractice law firms. In 1996, while still in law school, Mr. Schulman began working as a law clerk for this firm. He was hired immediately after graduation and proceeded to actively represent injured people at both the trial and the appellate levels in all New York State and Federal Courts.
Mr. Schulman was quickly promoted to managing attorney in February 2000. As managing attorney, Mr. Schulman introduced state-of-the-art technology to the firm, which aided in the successful transition of the firm into the new millennium.
Mr. Schulman remained the managing attorney at this firm until August 2004, when he was actively recruited to become the managing attorney of one of the city’s largest plaintiffs’ personal injury firms. At this firm, Mr. Schulman effectively streamlined the management of thousands of personal injury cases so that each case moved forward efficiently and was resolved for maximum value.
In March 2005, Mr. Schulman opened his own practice and continued to successfully represent victims of accidents in all types of personal injury cases.
In January 2009, Mr. Schulman joined forces with Justin Blitz to launch Schulman Blitz, LLP.
Mr. Schulman was born in the Bronx, New York on April 13, 1973. A product of the New York City public school system, including the Bronx High School of Science, Mr. Schulman graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton, cum laude, in 1995 where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree in political science. Mr. Schulman received his Juris Doctor in 1998 from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the international legal fraternity. While at Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Schulman served as a volunteer student mediator in Small Claims Court, Kings County.
In addition, Mr. Schulman is the author of the highly regarded book, The Preparation and Trial of Medical Malpractice Cases. This extremely respected treatise, published by Law Journal Press (a division of American Lawyer Media), is a primer for medical malpractice attorneys throughout the country.
Mr. Schulman is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers Association.
Mr. Schulman often helps educate other attorneys by conducting seminars on various legal issues. He has lectured for Lawline.com and other continuing legal education providers.
Mr. Schulman is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of New York, as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Schulman has been named to the list of Super Lawyers for the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. In addition, Mr. Schulman has been named one of the Top 100 attorneys in the metropolitan New York City area for the year 2016, 2017 and 2018 by Super Lawyers.
